Traveling in Italy Judi took photographs of dozens of doors that she saw in the many Italian towns and cities that she visited. Most were old, wooden and heavy looking. These glass doors, on an old villa, were different; they offered a glimpse into a luxuriant lifestyle in the Italian countryside. Most of the homes , even though they did not have front gardens, had flowers growing in pots and hanging planters. She still remembers the flower boxes on the canopied balcony of a villa that was captured in a photograph many years ago. In 2021, Judi Bachmann created this original acrylic painting on an old wood cupboard door that she saved from its destiny (to be burnt in a fire pit).
Size: 10.5 X 21.5 inches. Acrylics on wood.
