Description

Graceful simplicity best describes this Inuit seal carving.

The contrast of the seal and the rocks is created by polishing the sculpture of the seal to a sheen and leaving the stone of the base in its natural roughness.

This elegant and delicate seal carving stands alone as a fine vintage collectible. Or it will look at home in a collection of other Inuit art.

Size: the sculpture is 4 inches X 3 inches X 2 inches; the seal is 1 inch long and 1 inch high

Condition: Excellent; like new. Stone is unknown (possibly soapstone or marble).
